I am teaching Introduction to Sociology this fall at Kean University. Certainly I'll teach all the great (and standard) sociological theories. I'll also work hard at helping my students grow into better citizens - so that they can understand and evaluate life around them with a little more clarity and get more out of life for themselves, and hopefully contribute more back to society.
In 2008, society isnt just "real," its also virtual. How much of Web2.0 shall I introduce to my students? I think we're going to have a "blended" class -- some face to face (about 80%) and then 20% meet via web2.0 tools.
